e-zakkamania, one of the merchants in Rakuten Ichiba (online shopping mall) had a booth in the FUDGE event collaborating with Rakuten Institute of Technology and University of Tsukuba.
The event was held to celebrate the 15th anniversary of FUDGE (SAN-EI SHOBO Publishing Co.,Ltd.) which is a magazine that targets fashionable women from the 14th to the 15th October in Tokyo, Japan. Our booth provided “Virtual fitting room” for visitors. It was created by Rakuten Institute of Technology, University of Tsukuba and styling team from e-zakkamania “zooties styling LAB”.
Zooties styling LAB inside had 3 displays. The front display (customer standing position behind the painted green by system) showed visitor looks like a ‘Fashion doll’. And the left one showed recommending variations of items for visitor's preference. Then the visitor could pick up the items what she/he wants. The right display showed fashionable clothes coordination with the visitor! Also, visitors could get a QR code that could download photos of visitor with coordinated clothes. It is the visitor that is pictured on the cover of FUDGE.
The booth was crowded. Visitors made a long line and had to wait approximately an hour. They enjoyed our “Virtual fitting room” even though it was only for a few minutes and some visitors shared their experience to Twitter or Instagram.
